In more detail, WRAS (Water Regulation Advisory Scheme) certification ensures that valves meet the requirements for use in public water systems.  AWWA (American Water Works Association) Specification C509 indicates that the valve meets standards for use in North American waterworks systems. The valve is rated to 150 psi and is flanged for ease of installation and maintenance.  The OS&Y (Outboard Screw and Yard) design facilitates monitoring of valve position and prevents fluid or gas from contacting the valve stem. ISO 9001 certification indicates that the valve was produced in accordance with quality management standards established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
